Sweet at the V & A Museum of Childhood
Satisfy your sweet tooth with a new exhibition at the V & A Museum of Childhood
From November 24th until April 2008 a new exhibition will be housed at the V & A Museum of Childhood that will make chocolate lovers melt.
Sweet features buildings created from the produce of the colonial trade made by artist Jaimini Patel. Her detailed sugar and spice models are made from the very commodities that fortunes were built on.
The exhibition features Models based on London buildings remaining from 18th century colonial Britain. These highly detailed models are made from the very commodities that fortunes were built on: tea, coffee, cocoa, sugar and spices; creating architecture you can actually eat!
