Andreas Schmidt - 'Atopia - Las Vegas'
Gaze in awe at Andreas Schmidt's fantastic exhibition 'Atopia - Las Vegas'
Photographer Andreas Schmidt is currently exhibiting his latest work at the Goethe Institute.
Schmidt is a master of the unexpected twist, the unusual perspective: a diptych of two wide-angle photographs sandwiches the spectacular panorama of the Las Vegas skyline into the narrow horizontal gap between two levels of brightly lit concrete in a parking garage, endless hotel corridors vanish into nothing, and vast, over-lit hotel facades appear like architectural models.
This exciting exhibition runs from January 10th until March 30th and is open daily from 11am till 6pm.

Gaze in awe? Yes, gaze in awe at the restaurant prices and also gaze at the 3 little pictures displayed above people's heads as they gazzump their lunch. NOT very exciting.
Shame that they describe this as an "exhibition" because it's not!
And it's about as exciting as standing alone in a corridor with very bad carpet...
