If you're a fan of Americana - or even just great songwriting - you won't want to miss this early evening gig at the Apple Tree, starring the excellent Jason McNiff.
Described by Mojo as "one of the UK's best kept secrets", McNiff is a Polish-Irish Yorkshireman who busked his way round eastern europe and Egypt in his late teens. He's emerged as a superb purveyor of heartfelt, engaging songs, becoming a cult figure on the capital's folk and country circuit (and counting Pete Doherty and producer/Killing Joke bassist 'Youth' among
his fans).

Come Down And Meet The Folks is a live country/Americana/rock/blues music and DJ night at the Apple Tree pub on the second and last Sunday of every month. The gig is 4pm to 9pm.
How to get there
Underground/Rail: The nearest stations to the Apple Tree pub are Chancery Lane and Farringdon.
From Chancery Lane: walk up Gray's Inn Road. After the main junction with Theobalds Road/Clerkenwell Road, take the second right, Elm Street (by the "Butty Boys") and follow it along (as it becomes Mount Pleasant) until you find the pub.
From Farringdon: turn right out of the station, then, at the main junction ahead turn right along Farringdon Road. At the crossroads with traffic lights, turn left down Clerkenwell Road, until you reach Laystall Street. Turn right along that road until you reach Mount Pleasant at the end, then turn right and keep ahead until you reach the pub on your right.
