Innovative light artist Chris Levine has been enjoying a
growing reputation of late, not least for his series of royal portraits. The 3D
rendering of the Queen (shown left) has attracted praise from all quarters,
including a man who should know a thing or two about the subject - photographer
Mario Testino. He said it was '...the most beautiful image of her majesty I have
ever seen', naturally there was a proviso - 'but I have not shot her'.
This exhibition at the Stolenspace Gallery gallery is the first time
this remarkable series of works has been shown together in public. It was
created using state of the art holographic technology, and due to the complex
process involved in creating the works, the artist was granted an unprecedented
second sitting with the Queen. If you want to see HRM in a new light get on down to the Truman Brewery.
