Join Ruth Padel and guests in Somerset House for free poetry readings this spring
Ruth Padel, writer in residence at Somerset House will be welcoming poets to free lunchtime readings.
This spring, Ruth welcomes a number of guest poets to give a series of lunchtime readings on selected Friday afternoon around a theme of poets' visions of London.
The readings will be held in the beautiful Portico Rooms at Somerset House which overlook the river on one side and the Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court on the other.
The programme of events is as follows:
14th March - David Harsent
28th March - Daljit Nagra
25th April - Moniza Alvi
9th May - Lavinia Greenlaw
6th June - Ruth Padel
All readings take place between 1pm and 2pm. Tickets are free but capacity is limited and we advise you to register in advance. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Any unallocated tickets will be available on the door.

The closest mainline stations to Somerset House are Charing Cross, Waterloo and Blackfriars, for the tube use Charing Cross, Embankment, Temple and Covent Garden. If you are on the bus the 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 21, 23, 47, 53, 77a, 91, 168, 171, 172, 176, 185, 188, 341 and RV1 all serve the area.
