Donna Maria's Maypole Spectacular
Great dance fun for all the family at Donna Maria's Maypole Spectacular
Come along watch the
display and then get the chance to join in with this most traditional
of English folk dances. Represent your home town or you country under
the ribbons.
The event is held in the heart of London's Mayfair, this area's name
was derived from the annual fair in May that was introduced to the area
in 1686. On May the 10th 2008 this age-old tradition will be
resurrected and everyone is welcome to take part.
It's an upbeat
modern interpretation of ancient dances that are not usually seen in
the centre of town. Great fun for all the family.
Times 13.00, 14.00 and 15.00 at St. Christopher's Place.
