You can enjoy a free introduction to the London Library on the last Saturday of every month.
Enjoy an inside view of this intriguing and elegant literary oasis in the heart of the capital. Founded by Thomas Carlyle in 1841, and with previous members including Charles Dickens, Agatha Christie and T. S. Eliot, this subscription lending library houses over 1 million volumes on 15 miles of fully browsable bookshelves.
For those thinking of joining, this introductory tour provides the opportunity to discover more about the Library's history and offers a glimpse of its unparalleled resources.
The tours take place at 11am on the last Saturday of every month:
