Step into a 'Second Skin' exhibition at the Redgate Gallery in Brixton this April
'Second Skin' is a new exhibition at the Redgate Gallery that brings together an engaging show of work by seven painters and sculptors.
Second Skin brings together an engaging show of work by seven painters and sculptors: So-Ha Au, Alexander Bates, Alice Cunningham, Lorna Giezot, Jacqueline Morreau and Axelle Russo and features work that explores clothing and its notions of identity, the body and memories.
With the artists depicting, reconstructing and referencing 'clothing': looking at its relationship with our bodies; how we identify ourselves and how others perceive us; provides commentary on everyday narratives; symbolises our psychological spaces; conjures and promises associative memories; and maps our absence and presence.
The exhibition runs from Friday April 11th to Thursday April 17th. The gallery is open Monday to Wednesday and Saturday from 11am to 6.30pm and Thursday 10am to 5pm.

The nearest tube is Brixton Station (Victoria line) and over line train station is Loughborough Junction. If travelling by bus the 2, 3, 35, 37, 45, 59, 109, 118, 133, 159, 196, 250, 322, 333, 345, 355, 432, P4 and P5 all serve Brixton.
