The Garden of Secrets
Discover the Garden of Secrets at the Master Lounge in Marylebone
'The Garden of Secrets' is a collective show of four female painters presenting different symbols and messages in their contemporary artwork.
The exhibition is tailored to be mysterious, fun and abstract featuring sensual images that reveal the complex mind of each individual artist.
Elena Lindjo uses an instinctive technique and gold color on her paintings as a way to present Universal Alchemy. In her work, she tries to find a harmony within chaos. Forever in motion Elena's paintings are expressions of energies existing in the Universe: a combination of rythm and color, emotion and shape, like music on canvas.
The artist Raquel Gralheiro combines pop art and design with advertising slogans promoted by media and modern style paintings. We can feel something of post-modern rococo in her work. She is making a visual commentary of all the images that comprise the past of art: in her case contemporary art.
Corsica-born Estelle Rocca-Serra is a self-taught painter. Since she moved to London in 2000 she has turned to more experimental techniques, which can be seen in her latest 'Glimpse' series. These distinctive paintings are produced using a mica based pigment gel, resulting in an iridescent blue which changes hue from bright blue to deep purple depending on the viewing angle.
Lucia Granados the youngest of four artists with a great passion for illustration artwork presents 12 thick frames pieces of work. Each piece is a different wild animal. By using mix media Lucia expresses the feeling of being this animal abstractly on canvas. She has chosen to work mostly in shades from white to black for this series of work, and only adds a jolt of color and text underlining that feeling of "wild" to each piece.
The exhibition is taking place at the Master Lounge on Chiltern Street from Monday April 14th to Thursday May 15th, Monday to Friday from 10am to 7pm.
