Join the friends of Vernon Scannell in a celebration of his life and work at the National Portrait Galler

Vernon_Scannell.jpgVisitors to the National Portrait Gallery are this month invited to join in on a celebration of the life and work of poet Vernon Scannell.

Fellow poets and friends will be taking part is this special poetry event including Dannie Abse, Alan Brownjohn, P.J. Kavanagh, Peter Porter, Anthony Thwaite, Kit Wright. Introduced by Anne Harvey.

The event is taking place on Sunday May 18th from 3pm. The event is free and visitors wishing to attend will be admitted ton a first come first served basis.

How to get there

The closest tube and train station to Trafalgar Square is Charring Cross.

If on the bus the 3, 6, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 23, 24, 29, 53, 87, 88, 91, 139, 159, 176 and the 453 all serve Trafalgar Square.
