Des Res: London's Housing Challenge
Discover the truth behind London's Housing Challenge at a new exhibition from New London Architecture
A new exhibition at New London Architecture examines the impact London's growing population will have on the already strained housing market.
The capital's population is growing faster than any other major European city, with an estimated increase of 700,000 people over the next 15 years.
We are building - or have plans to build - a lot of new housing in London. But is it good enough, is it the right sort of housing and is it in the right place? What are the best projects that are being built? And will we build enough of them to meet the needs of London's expanding number of households?
This major new exhibition at the Building Centre will tackle the challenges facing London's housing, from density to design, space standards to sustainability.
The exhibition runs from Thursday April 24th to Saturday June 14th and is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
