Emmaus South Lambeth Opening
Join Joanna Lumley for the opening of Emmaus South Lambeth
Legendary actress Joanna Lumley will be on hand to open Emmaus South London this April.
Emmaus Communities offer homeless people a home, work and the chance to rebuild their lives in a supportive environment. There are currently 14 Communities open around the UK and several more in development.
The lovely Lumley will be joined by President of Emmaus, Terry Waite C.B.E, for a charity auction at 1.45pm.
The day is open to the public and will feature a host of activities such as a graffiti workshop, bouncy castle, a flamenco performance by Flamenco Con Gusto, a performance by the Lambeth Youth Orchestra and there will also be Emmaus branded rickshaws on hand to ferry locals to the event.
The day of fun and celebrity is taking place on Saturday April 12th from 11.30am to 5pm.
