Enjoy free family Sunday's at the National Gallery every Sunday throughout May!

family.jpgEvery Sunday of the month, families with children aged 5 to 11 are invited to a free artist-led workshop at the National Gallery.

The workshops take inspiration from a painting in the Gallery, they take place at 11am and are then repeated at 2pm.

May's programme is as below:

May 4th -  The grass is always greener...
With painter Jo Lewis explore Rousseau's painting Surprised! By creating your own green oasis, you too can surprise the tiger in the jungle!

May 11th -  Journeys: Travel Sketches
Sharpen up your sketching skills and take a punt along the grand canal in this drawing workshop with artist Viyki Turnbull.

May 18th -  Lutes, Flutes and Rock and Roll
Fill the Gallery with music, and create your own mixed-media musicians with artist Gayna Pelham.

May 25th - Wings of Love
Fly away with some of the magical winged creatures in the collection with sculptor Al Johnson and make your own pair of glorious, wearable wings.
