Free Lunchtime Concerts at the Royal Opera House - June

Every Monday music lovers can enjoy a free concert from those lovely people at the Royal Opera House.

Concerts take place in the elegant Crush Room. Tickets are free but must be reserved; a proportion of tickets can be reserved online 10 days prior to the concert date. These must be collected from the Royal Opera House Box Office by 12.40pm on the day of the performance, after which they will be released.

Concerts take place at 1pm; the programme of events for June is as follows:

June 2nd - Maggie Teyte Prizewinner:; Sarah Jane Brandon, Soprano; Alisdair Hogarth, Piano - Programme to be announced.

June 9th - Stephen Bettany, Violin; Kirsten Schlomowitz, Violin; Andriy Viytovych, Viola; Caroline Clarke, Piano - Programme to include Dvorak Piano Quintet No.1 and the Frank Bridge Fantasy Quartet for Piano and String Trio.

June 16th - Mary Mundy, 'Cello; Paul Griffiths, Piano - Programme to include Richard Strauss Cello Sonata Op. 6 in F major and Nadia Boulanger Three Pieces for Cello and Piano.

June 23rd - Vuyani Mlinde, Bass; David Gowland, Piano - Programme to include songs by Schubert, Schumann and Tchaikovsky.

June 30th - Lindbury Studio Theatre - Andrew Griffiths, Conductor; Monika-Evelin Liiv, Mezzo Soprano; Catriona Beveridge, Piano; Southbank Sinfonia - The Royal Opera House association with Southbank Sinfonia continues in this programme, to include Beethoven Symphony No.8 and De Falla El amor brujo.

How to get there

The closest tube station is located at Covent Garden.

If travelling by bus the 14, 19, 24, 29, 38 and 176 serve the nearby Leicester Square.
