Enjoy a free lunchtime talk on the Great Fire of London at the Shoe Lane Library this spring.
Find out about the Great Fire, the most famous disaster in London's history, and how it shaped the city we know today. What was it like to live through the terror of having your home and livelihood destroyed? How did people cope? And why did a fire which claimed less than a dozen lives end up changing London's cityscape forever?
This special event is presented by Meriel Jeater, curator of the new Museum of London exhibition - "London's Burning: the Great Fire of London 1666".
The talk will be taking place on Tuesday April 15th at 12.30pm, audience members will be seated on a first-come first-served basis.
