Jane Nightwork Productions presents, a promotional reading of 'Chains' by Eugène Scribe in a new translation by Anthony Curtis.
Following the success of their production of Golden Opportunities, by Eugène Scribe, Jane Nightwork Productions is proud to present another of Scribe's neglected masterpieces, translated by author and journalist Anthony Curtis.
Although today Scribe is best remembered for his work on Verdi's Operas, during his lifetime he experienced huge success writing over 400 plays and libretti. Prior to a full production, Jane Nightwork Productions brings to life in a rehearsed reading Scribe's vibrant, comic, play exploring the chains of love and obligation that link or bind us.
Jane Nightwork Productions will be performing a promotional reading of Chains at the Trafalgar Studio 2 on Wednesday, April 30th and Friday, May 2nd, beginning at 10.30am.
All are welcome, it is a free event and tickets are not required. Principal cast members include Roger Ringrose and Sioned Jones, who are currently appearing in Howard Brenton's Never So Good at the National Theatre.
