Host to Host, a Parasite's Tale
Find out about the journey of a parasite at a free talk at the Natural History Museum
'Host to Host, a Parasite's Tale' is a talk taking place at the Natural History Museum as part of the Journeys Season.
When we think of animal journeys, mass migrations of magnificent creatures come to mind, such as herds of elephants or flocks of birds. But some of the most fascinating journeys happen on a much smaller scale.
Parasites travel from host to host to complete their life cycle, and they do it in some extraordinary ways. Join us to discover the parasites that alter the behaviour, size, shape or appearance of their hosts to get where they are going, and discover what can happen when they get lost along the way.
This interesting talk is taking place on Wednesday May 7th at 12.30pm in the Marine and Vertebrate Gallery. There is no need to book, just turn up and get educated!
