This cutting edge concert at the Shepherds Bush Empire brings home the bread for 60 years of Human Rights...
On Thursday May 1st Giles Peterson is hosting a fantastic charitable event where a selection of the best underground artists will come together in an act of solidarity to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and to raise money for The Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture.
Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture helps thousands of torture survivors each year, offering free medical care, psychological treatment and practical assistance. It also campaigns against the activities of states known to use torture routinely, as well as the steady erosion of human rights in the "war on terror".
The line up includes Bonobo, Lou Rhodes, Beardyman, 4Hero, Jamie Woon, Tawiah & 'Nathan Flutebox' Lee.
The night marks 60 years since the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, outlining the obligations all signatory states have to their citizens. Proceeds will go towards the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture, which helps thousands of torture survivors each year.
