London Mayoral Elections
Have you registered to vote in the London Mayoral Elections?????
On May 1st 2008 residents of London are being asked to pick their future mayor.
Despite the fact that registration is free and easy to complete, up to 1 in 5 Londoners are not registered to vote.
Voting for your London Mayor is a fantastic way to have your voice heard via a candidate that represents you and your views on what should happen to our capital in the future.
To vote in the election on 1 May you need to be:
At least 18 on 1 May
Live in London
Be a British, Commonwealth or EU citizen
Be on the electoral register (you need to do this before April 16th)
To register you can download a registration form from the London Elects website.
Once registered you will be sent a polling card which enables you to vote. Polling stations in every borough will be open from 7am to 10pm on May 1st, or you can vote by post.
