Museum in Docklands Celebrates Local Talent
Enjoy local talent at the Museum in Docklands this May Day
On May 1st the Museum in Docklands will celebrating local ideas and innovation during their Late programme.
The Canary Wharf Film Festival is a new event supporting creative talent in the area and beyond, showcasing the best in short film. Join us for a special screening of the prize winning films from last year. Ben Marzys' 'London After The Rain' is a striking animation that gives a post-apocalyptic view of Docklands. Noel Kearns, 'The Cleaner', is a captivating drama that looks at a troubling moral dilemma faced by an immigrant night cleaner. 'Cheat Neutral', directed by Beth Stratford, is a timely documentary that exposes the inadequacies of carbon offsetting.
Don't miss the debut of the Museum's very own in-house band, The Explainers, playing for the first time at Museum in Docklands. The group describe their sound as indie rock and will be playing original material as written by themselves alongside songs suited to a May Day theme.
The event is taking place on Thursday May 1st from 6pm to 9pm.
