Shakespeare's Globe St George's Day Celebrations
Celebrate Shakespeare's Birthday and St George's Day at Shakespeare's Globe!
That very English institution Shakespeare's Globe is getting involved in the St George's Day celebrations this April.
The day's events are a joint celebration of Shakespeare's birthday and St George's Day! England's contribution to language and literature is being celebrated with free activities at Shakespeare's Globe for the theatre's annual Open Day.
Taking on an St George's day theme, the anarchic, physical theatre company Footsbarn will be joined with onstage performers and musicians. There'll also be workshops, games, quizzes and the chance to tread the boards and say a few lines on the world famous stage.
Workshops will be available from Globe practitioners including a playwriting master-class by Ché Walker, whose play The Frontline will be premiéring at the Globe this summer.
This fantastic event is taking place on Sunday April 20th between 12pm and 5pm, so get on down there and take part,
