Enjoy a free lunchtime lecture at the Shoe Lane Library on Monks, Murder and Mummery.
Poets, poison, pubs and printers... join the librarians and archivists from the Guildhall Library for an illustrated talk on the hidden history of the Shoe Lane area. Shoe Lane is short street in the City of London with a long history; its modern route now runs from Fleet Street to High Holborn.
The event takes place on Thursday May 22nd from 12.30pm to 1pm.

The closest tube stations are located at Chancery Lane and Blackfriars.
If travelling by bus the 8, 17, 25, 45, 46, 242, 341 and 521 all serve Chancery Lane.
