Take a look at Soho through the eyes of legendary film maker Mike Figgis
The Photographers' Gallery is celebrating the vibrancy of modern cosmopolitan cities with a one-week display of photographs of London's Soho district.
The gallery at 5 Great Newport Street Is being transformed into a working studio and display area for photographs, taken by renowned British filmmaker and artist Mike Figgis.
Well known for experimenting with the creative process, Figgis Is spending one week prior to the public display intensively photographing in this central London location, and continuing during the week of the exhibition.
The images will be produced and printed on-site over the course of the week, in a temporary studio space within the gallery. These photographs will then be presented on the wall with Figgis adding and subtracting from the previous day's display.
Using the latest digital technology, an Epson Stylus Pro 3800 printer, Figgis' personal impressions and interpretations of Soho will come to life through his photographic talent.
This exhibition is running at the Photographers Gallery from Tuesday April 8th to Sunday April 13th, the gallery is open Monday to Saturday from 11am to 6pm, till 8pm on Thursdays and Sunday 12pm to 6pm.
