Thinkers of the Jungle
Find out more about the Thinkers of the Jungle during a special talk at the Natural History Museum
Thinkers of the Jungle is a special nature talk from the Natural History Museum that takes a look at the future of the Orang-utan.
Orang-utans share 97 per cent of their genes with us. They are thoughtful, inventive as well as cultural, yet they face imminent extinction.
Biologist Willie Smits, co-founder of the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation, has saved more than 1,500 of our long-armed cousins, returning hundreds more to the wild. Join him to explore their past, present and precarious future and to discuss how protecting the climate and the environment could rescue this endangered species.
This important talk is taking place on Friday May 2nd at 12.30pm in the Marine and Vertebrate Gallery. There is no need to book, just turn up and get educated!
