mobiles.jpgSomerset House regularly hosts fantastic free family workshops that are guaranteed to keep your kids entertained!

Children aged 6 to 12 years and their families are warmly welcomed at our free Saturday workshops. Workshops begin at 2pm and it takes an hour and a half to complete the activity.

Collect your free ticket at 1pm on the day from the information desk in the Seamen's Hall. Spaces are limited, so tickets are allocated on a first come first served basis.

On Saturday May 24th the theme will be 'Building Materials'
The current Skin+Bones exhibition looks at the crossovers between fashion and architecture. Turn images of buildings and structures into textile prints in this fun design challenge.

On Saturday May 31st the theme will be 'Textures and Trace'
Celebrate the history and fabric of Somerset House as you take a trip through some of its hidden spaces to discover some dramatic tales. Then create a collage using stencils and rubbings.

Holiday drop-in workshops are suitable for families with children of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. If the workshop is full, families are welcome to wait until spaces become available. The activity lasts about half an hour. Meet in the Learning Centre, Embankment level, South Building.

On Monday May 26th the theme will be 'A Different Storey'
Find out about the people that lived and worked here in the past by exploring the Stamp Stair, the Navy Board Rooms, the Royal Academy and the Dead House. Then help create a model of Somerset House...

Drop in anytime between 11am and 1pm and 2pm and 4.30pm.
