View the photographs of Irish Writers from the talented John Minihan at Riverside Studios

irishwriters1.jpgPhotographer John Minihan will be showcasing his work at Riverside Studios this summer.

John Minihan, staff photographer for the Evening Standard for 30 years, is one of Ireland's most celebrated photographers. He is particularly acclaimed for his powerful, intimate portraits of Irish Writers.

His close friendship with Samuel Beckett produced some of the most remarkable, iconic photographic images ever taken of the writer.

Minihan has a long standing history with Riverside Studios. In 1984 he photographed Beckett with a satchel across his back, walking away from Riverside Studios.

He also photographed various productions of Beckett's plays at Riverside, including Beckett directing Waiting for Godot (1984), Max Wall performing in Krapp's Last Tape (Riverside Studios 1987) and Billie Whitelaw in Rockabye (1987).

The exhibition is running from Monday June 16th to Sunday July 6th and is open daily from 10am to 10.30pm.
