Enjoy all the eccentric festivities at the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival!!!

greenwich_main.jpgThis June Greenwich is the place to be as it hosts London's most spectacular free Festival.

At the festival visitors can experience the intense emotion of an inspirational Medal Ceremony in Greenwich, be transported to Buenos Aires with passionate overhead Tango at Canary Wharf, witness an epic Chinese landscape painting coming alive at The O2, be swept up in the sweat and adrenalin of a theatrical track event at the National Maritime Museum or even get swallowed by a giant French caterpillar in Woolwich!

The Greenwich and Docklands International Festival is all about pushing outdoor arts to new heights and this year is no exception. Organisers are commissioning a groundbreaking programme of exciting new events created through collaboration between sport and the arts.

Drawing on the inspiration and vision of Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games, the Festival is bringing sport and arts closer together by fusing South Asian dance with soccer, marathon running with music and swimming with sway pole choreography.

The festival is taking place from Monday June 9th to Sunday June 22nd at various venues throughout Greenwich including Canary Wharf Old Royal Naval College Cutty Sark Gardens and The 02 and will feature dance, theatre, music, art installations and sport.
