Watch a partial eclipse of the Sun at the Royal Observatory this August
Head down to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich for a partial solar eclipse.
There astronomers will be on hand with solar telescopes and other observing tools, allowing you to view the disc of the Sun without risk of injury to the eye.
The partial eclipse is taking place on Friday August 1st from 9.20am to 11.20am, families are particularly being encouraged to attend.

How to get there
The closest DLR station is at the Cutty Sark, the closest overground station is at Greenwich Station.
If travelling by bus the 188, 177, 180, 199, 286 and 386 all stop near by.
