Find out more about Free Trade in the Cutty Sark Gardens this July
The Cutty Sark Gardens, Maritime Greenwich will be hosting its first fair trade market this July.
There will be 25 stalls inside the marquee selling a great range of fair trade products including clothing, jewellery, accessories, household goods, world music CDs, food and drink.
Producers from at least 16 developing countries will be represented (including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Cambodia, Chile, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Kenya, India, Mexico, Nepal, Palestine, Peru, Nepal, Tibet, Uganda and Vietnam) and the event will be partly sponsored by The
Co-operative Group, whose supermarkets helped to pioneer the availability of Fairtrade produce and Infinity Foods Cooperative, the largest independent supplier of fairtrade produce, who will be there with their range of dried fruits, nuts and grains.
There will be a programme of guest speakers on fair trade and development issues, games to raise awareness and a raffle to raise funds for a new group of Afghan women. Outside the marquee there will be local and global stalls with food to eat there and take away.
The event is taking place on Sunday July 13th from 11am to 4pm at the Cutty Sark Gardens.

How to get there
The main stations in Greenwich are Greenwich Station and Cutty Sark.
If travelling by bus the 188, 177, 180, 199, 286 and 386 all serve Greenwich.
