Come on down to Barking and Dagenham and enjoy the explosive Molten Festival
Molten Festival explodes all over Barking and Dagenham on September 26 2008. To celebrate the opening of the Cultural Olympiad and London Open Rehearsal, the festival is offering three days of free workshops and masterclasses across all art forms.
Artists and performers will be opening up their work and workspaces to the public, so that everyone can have a go. From salsa to stand-up comedy, pottery to poetry, there's something for everyone.
The festival continues throughout October, with daily festivities in the public realm: Music on the bandstand, dancing in the street, exhibitions in the gallery, and workshops in schools and libraries.
Join us every Sunday in October for our Month of Sundays Variety Shows at the Broadway, Barking Theatre, where big name performers share the stage with acts from around the world, and the best of local talent. And don't miss the Grand Finale, November 2 on Abbey Green, for an explosive evening of big bangs and big bands (or fireworks and music).
