Join the director and producer of 'My Winnipeg' for a Q&A at the Apple Store on Regent Street

Director Guy Maddin, along with producer Jody Shapiro, will discuss his hilariously wacky and profoundly touching goodbye letter to his childhood hometown.

After discussing the film, Guy and Jody will take questions from the audience. They will also announce an exciting competition for aspiring film-makers.

Guy Maddin - Director of My Winnipeg
Guy Maddin is a film director from Winnipeg, Canada.  He is known for his outlandish storylines and his distinctive style of recreating the look of silent and early sound era films.  His most renowned films include Careful, Dracula: Pages from a Virgin's Diary, The Saddest Music in the World and his latest "docu-fantasia" My Winnipeg.

Jody Shapiro - Producer and Director of Photography of My Winnipeg
Jody is a producer, filmmaker and photographer.  In addition to producing and photographing My Winnipeg, he has collaborated with Guy Maddin on numerous other films, including The Saddest Music in the World, Heart of the World and homage to Roberto Rossellini My Dad is 100 Years Old.  He has also worked with Atom Egoyan and David Cronenberg.

Craig Burnett has written for Frieze, Art Review, GQ Style, Art Monthly, The Times Literary Supplement, Guardian and other publications. His book on Jeff Wall is published by Tate. He works at White Cube, London.
